All the Reality Shows Canceled in 2026, So Far

On Brand with Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Bozoma “Boz” Saint John teamed up for a NBC reality competition series highlighting creativity in the marketing and advertising field.

On Brand with Jimmy Fallon — which first premiered in September 2025 — followed The Tonight Show host as he starts a marketing agency and “fills it with the most creative, clever, and competitive go-getters he can find.”

“With On Brand, I thought it would be cool to have executives from some of the most iconic brands pitched ideas by normal people bursting with creativity,” Fallon told PEOPLE in May 2025. “Some have advertising backgrounds. Some are influencers. Some are swim instructors. It doesn’t matter. All that matters is coming up with the best idea.”

In May 2026, it was announced that the series had been canceled after one season, per Deadline.

Queer Eye

Queer Eye season 10 was a farewell to the Fab Five.

In July 2025, Netflix announced that the 10th season would be the show’s last. The final season of Netflix’s longest-running unscripted series was set in Washington, D.C., and premiered in January 2026.

“First day of the FINAL season of Queer Eye. It’s been a long, beautiful journey we’ve been on, and I truly appreciate all of the love and support for our little show, that changed my life in ways I never thought possible,” Tan France wrote in an Instagram post after it was announced that the series would be ending.

Yes, Chef!

The NBC cooking competition series cohosted by Stewart and José Andrés was canceled after one season in March 2026, according to Deadline.

Yes, Chef! premiered in April 2025, with the finale airing two months later in June 2025. The series featured 12 talented cooks going up against one another as they competed for a cash prize of $250,000.

Rehab Addict

In February 2026, HGTV’s Rehab Addict was canceled after a video surfaced featuring the show’s star, Nicole Curtis, using a racial slur during filming.

In a statement, HGTV said it was “recently made aware of an offensive racial comment made during the filming of Rehab Addict. Not only is language like this hurtful and disappointing to our viewers, partners, and employees — it does not align with the values of HGTV.”

The network then removed Rehab Addict from all of its platforms. “We remain dedicated to fostering a culture of respect and inclusion across our content and our workplace,” continued the statement.

After the news of the cancellation, Curtis apologized for the use of the racial slur in a statement to TMZ, saying, “I want to be clear: the word in question is wrong and not part of my vocabulary and never has been, and I apologize to everyone.”

Love & Hop Hop

The Love & Hip Hop franchise is coming to a close with Love & Hip Hop: The Final Chapter. The six-part limited series will air on VH1 in fall 2026, according to Paramount.

“Love & Hip Hop has been a part of the fabric of VH1 and of the culture for over 15 years. This limited series is our love letter to the cast, fans, producers, and everyone who made the franchise a success and forever changed reality television,” Sitarah Pendelton, executive vice president of unscripted at MTVE, said in a statement.

Selling the City

Netflix’s Selling the City will not be back for season 2.

The real estate reality series premiered in January 2025, but in April 2026, TMZ reported that the show would not be returning.

“Getting to work with Adam DiVello and Netflix was a dream, and even more so to showcase my city and the industry I love,” cast member Eleonora Srugo said in a statement to PEOPLE. “I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and for all the people around the world who connected with it.”

“I’m proud to be part of the Selling franchise. That’s something that doesn’t change and excited to see what’s next,” she added.

Basketball Wives

Basketball Wives came to an end with season 12, which aired from May to July 2025.

Series creator Shaunie Henderson, the former wife of Shaquille O’Neal, shared the news in a January 2026 Instagram video.

“This is just called growth and moving forward. I’m announcing today that Basketball Wives will not be returning,” she said in her message. “Since its launch in 2010, this franchise has been the defining part of my professional journey. What began as a vision to tell my story and stories of women like me grew into a cultural movement that created opportunity, sparked conversation and honestly, amplified voices that deserve to be heard.”

Henderson concluded her video by saying, “Basketball Wives will always be a cherished part of my legacy and a foundation of my career as a producer. Thank you for your support from day one, and I look forward to this next season of leadership, creativity and expansion and sharing it with you.”

Jersey Shore Family Vacation

The Jersey Shore franchise is concluding with the ninth and final season of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, which debuted in May 2026.

The original Jersey Shore premiered in 2009, launching a beloved reality TV squad into stardom. MTV described the final, 18-episode season as a “last hurrah for a cultural icon.”

Pop the Balloon

Hosted by Yvonne Orji, Pop the Balloon was a live experimental dating show.

It premiered on Netflix in April 2025, but in February 2026, Deadline reported that the series would not be returning for season 2.
